The Park Place 60+ Adult Ministry exists to provide adults an accepting, challenging, and needs-meeting experience that brings them into relationship with Jesus Christ, and creates a foundation for living changed lives and assisting others in the transformation of becoming followers of Jesus Christ.
Table Game Olympics (Game&Snack) Day is a big event in the 60+ Ministry each month. Eating lunch together and then playing dominoes or bridge are just a couple of the games seniors play on the 3rd Thursday.
Sunday School is the cornerstone of the Park Place 60+ Adult Ministry. Being in relationship with Jesus Christ means not only knowing His Word (the Bible), but being transformed or changed by His Word. Jubilee! Is a class of 60+ Adults who meet every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Wednesday Nights offer 60+ Adults a chance to enjoy their favorite hymns and gospel songs as well as Bible study. Short-term Bible study opportunities are made available throughout the year.
Keeping minds and bodies active is a vital function of the Park Place 60+ Adult Ministry. Whether it is through road trips, exercise and fitness, or just getting out of the house and spending time with friends, an active life, and a life filled with friends is a healthier life. In addition to monthly table game nights, lunches, and get-togethers, Park Place 60+ Adults enjoy attend concerts, theater productions, and road trips to the off-the-beaten paths of Houston and beyond that are both entertaining as well as spiritually and mentally challenging.
Road trips include places such as the Houston’s underground tunnel system, Houston’s beautiful Historic Heights, the Bluebonnet Trail, a tour of Houston’s unique markets including the Hong Kong Market and Central Market, and a plays at Houston's Grace Theatre for AD Players productions.
