Behind every word or phrase of our vision, mission and values statements lies a significant meaning that we believe God has led us to follow.  The process of formulating this document took over a year of prayer, Bible study, listening sessions and discussion as we sought the heart of God and His purpose for our ministry.

 "We will be” are the beginning words of the vision statement.  The drive and force of the vision is in the future stance it takes.  We know that we have not arrived at our destination.  We are willing to make the journey to where God wants us to be.  We have studied in depth the current trends of our city and the future predictions about life in Houston.  We are committed to be in a position to minister to the Houston of the future.  We modify and position ourselves now to accomplish the ministry of the future.

A future perspective does not invalidate the past.  If anything, it gives validity to the past.  Where Park Place was a paragon for meaningful ministry, it is our goal to regain our heritage as a model for effectively touching lives.  The richness of our history is the foundation that drives us to be more than we are at present.  Great people do great things, and great churches do great ministry.  The method, program and means are not the same, but the historical authenticity of touching lives with the Gospel of Jesus Christ remains our faith and action.
